Welcome to Blossoming Widow Weight Loss!
My name is Linda Edwards and in the past year, I have lost 40 pounds using Intermittent Fasting.
Intermittent Fasting is a healthier way to lose weight and keep the weight off.
This page is dedicated to you and I hope you will be inspired to take on the challenge of reaching your weight loss goals and healthier you!
Trying to lose weight can be very frustrating especially if you’ve tried everything out there and nothing seems to be working. What I mean by ‘working’ is being able to lose a significant amount of weight without gaining it back.
Being in my fifties makes it even harder. I can’t lose weight like I used to. I’ve paid hundreds of dollars towards gym memberships, getting ‘fat’ shots, buying special pre-packaged meals that you heat in the microwave, that sort of thing. Sure, I’ll lose a little weight, but, it’ll all come back in a short time.
That’s until I joined a program that used Intermittent Fasting. It hurt my wallet at a whopping $1600 to get that knowledge, However, I learned how to lose weight and keep it off.
1) Mindset – You must have made up your mind that you’re going to stick to your diet. That you’re tired of being fat and you’re ready for a change. This is one of the biggest battles you must win. Once you set your mind to it, there’s no stopping you!
You also must keep your mind busy - I don’t know about you, but I used to think about food ALL the time. You need to find a hobby or better yet, a business to focus on. I learned how to blog, and believe me, it occupies my mind all the time. Not only do I get to put my thoughts out there, but I get to help other people. I enjoy it so much, it’s the best thing I have ever put my mind to.
2) Diet, not exercise, is the way to lose weight – Exercise is very important for over-all good health. But, if you want to lose a significant amount of weight, changing your diet is the way to go. And, when you exercise, I would choose to do something that doesn’t kill you or is torture for you.
If you don’t do certain exercises the right way, like, squats, burpees, or lifting weights, you can seriously injure yourself. I’m not saying not to do these, just make sure you have someone who knows what they are doing to show you the right way.
I like to hike, go for long fast walks or doing something enjoyable like kayaking or swimming. These have been great for maintain my weight.
3 ) Intermittent fasting – There are many diets out there, but I’ve found this to be the most effective way to lose weight the healthy way. Fasting has been recorded for many centuries to be very beneficial. Can I go 24 hours without eating? Probably not. Not by choice, anyway. However, fasting for a certain amount of time each day, for a specified period, is doable.
