Victoria Beach is a hidden gem in Laguna Beach that many of the locals don’t even know about. It is tucked away in a small neighborhood and there are no signs to guide you there. If you can find it, you will see a Pirates Tower or sometimes called Rapunzel’s Tower and an ancient swimming pool.

I learned of Victoria Beach from Pinterest when I was doing a search on things to do in Orange County. The thought of it being hidden and hard to get to intrigued me.
HOW TO GET THERE
The address is 2713 Victoria Dr Laguna Beach, CA 92651 but GPSing it won’t take you there. GPS will lead you to a gated community you can’t access unless you live there. So the best thing to do is to go ahead and use your GPS but as you get near, slow down and look for Victoria Drive.
PARKING
If you’re going there during the week and it’s working hours, I would turn into Victoria Drive and chance finding a parking spot there in the neighborhood. But if not, you can park on Pacific Coast Hwy. From what I read on Pinterest I should park on the highway as the chances of finding a spot in the neighborhood was slim. I wish I had driven in the neighborhood first because there were spots available but I listened and parked about a half a mile away on a street named Nyes Place. By the time I got back to my car, I was exhausted as the terrain is up and down!
FIND THE STAIRWAY
As you enter the neighborhood, follow the road as it’ll curve down to the left and you’ll spot a stairway. It kind of looks like it belongs to one of the houses there.
The stairway is pretty steep so be careful.
As you go further down the steps it’ll open up to a beautiful secluded beach. Victoria Beach.
When you get down to the bottom of the stairs, go to your right. Make sure you have good shoes on as you’ll have to climb a bit and go over some rocks and you don’t want to slip and slide away, It can be wet!
As you round the bend on the rocks the view will take your breath away. The color of the moss with the blue and white waves crashing on the blackened rocks is a feast for the eyes and soul.
One of the first things you’ll encounter is the ancient swimming pool. Makes you wonder, who built it and why? How long has it been there? What type of people were they and why did they choose Victoria Beach? Your imagination can run wild!
Then as you go a bit further you’ll see the Tower. It is so awesome! They call it a Pirates Tower or even Rapunzel’s Tower. Some even say it’s a Lighthouse. It’s all very magical!
If you look close enough to the middle left of the picture, you’ll see stairs and a door. Makes you wonder where it leads to.
Victoria Beach is definitely a photo opt so make sure you bring your camera! Next time I go there I’ll go during high tide and swim in this swimming pool 🙂
It’s all so awesome. A place you want to put on your list if you’re ever traveling in Orange County. It’ll definitely be a rewarding experience.
